Dear Reader,

A CBS News article reports a new secret spy satellite heading off on a classified mission. Posted on an open forum on the internet HERE.[1] It’s even up on YouTube:

So the state secrets stolen and posted by WikiLeaks present a danger to our national security, but important reconnaissance for the CIA and the Department of Defense can be openly published on the internet?

I’m reminded of the Gulf War.   The enemy was using our broadcasts of the weather and other information to help out their attacks.

“Progress, far from consisting in change, depends on retentiveness. When change is absolute there remains no being to improve and no direction is set for possible improvement: and when experience is not retained, as among savages, infancy is perpetual. Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.”[2]

The enemies of the United States don’t have to work hard. We’re providing them with information.
